Learn how to free yourself from anxieties

I never really understood anxiety until a few years ago when I had opportunity to face this fear head on and spend time waiting for some results. I nearly lost my mind with anxious thoughts and worry. Joyce Meyer says "to worry is to torment oneself". Anxiety causes us to go into fight or flight mode. This is when we start imagining the worst case scenario. We are all going to have times that we feel anxious but if you are stuck in anxiety, you are not alone and there is help.
Here is a list of some things that have helped me:
talking with a therapist, a trusted friend or a Pastor
diet and exercise changes. Too much caffeine, sugar, alcohol and stimulants can make anxiety worse.
having a hobby,
positive thinking,
praise music, relaxation music
exercise such as running, yoga and pilates
.When anxious thoughts come , I meditate on scriptures that talk about worry and fear.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.
Philippians 4The Message (MSG)
4 My dear, dear friends! I love you so much. I do want the very best for you. You make me feel such joy, fill me with such pride. Don’t waver. Stay on track, steady in God.
6-7 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
8-9 Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies
2 Timothy 1:7 for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
